COMMENT POLICY

By Richard Obeng 1st February 2018

The whole point of Arkey Tournament is to encourage competitiveness and rivalry between competitors, teams (and team mates!) So friendly banter is welcome, in fact almost necessary to add to the competitive spirit of the tournament.

However, there are lines that simply cannot be crossed. if they are, your comments will be deleted.

Here are some guidelines to commenting on this site. These may be updated so keep a look out.

No Hate slurs
This should go without saying really. But, just to be clear, any comments that are deemed hateful towards any race, gender, sexual orientation or any personal aspect of someone, will be deleted. If someone persists on posting comments of this nature, they will be banned.

•No curse words
As we all know, when talking competitively, debates can get a bit heated, which is perfectly fine. However, any curse words used to insult, antagonise or respond to any comment, will be removed. So keep your emotions in check.

•No death threats
Again, this should go without saying. But again, just to clarify: Any death threats towards anyone on this site will be deleted. (P.S How angry do you have to get to threaten to kill someone over a video game anyway?)

As the site moderator, I will always be moderating comments to make sure no inappropriate comments are posted.

However, if you notice any posts that you think are unacceptable, do yourself a favour:

Do not respond to them.

All you are doing is giving these keyboard warriors the attention they want. Instead, flag the comment and I will eventually be alerted and most probably end up deleting the comment.

So to summarise: not everyone likes a bragger, or brags themselves.

If you want to casually drop a bomb that you thrashed someone 5-0 on FIFA, that’s fine. Just remember to keep the banter friendly and/or competitive.
